Welcome! My name is Cheryl R. Perkins, and I am so glad you have taken the time to visit my website. Here’s a little about me. I have always had a desire to help others, which led me into the fields of science and medicine.

 

After college and I began working for some years, I encountered a pivotal moment when my father was diagnosed with cancer. I spent a week in the hospital with him after his surgery and observed the interactions and relationships between the doctors and patients. It made me realize that I wanted to make an impact in a different way and build meaningful relationships with people.

 

During this time, I began to pray and asked Jesus for guidance on what I should do. He laid it upon my heart to pursue "Project Management." I had to look up what project management was, as I didn’t have a clue. However, as I researched, I found that it aligned perfectly with my personality, and I was already performing some project management tasks in my current job.

 

I made the decision to shift my career to project management, and I love it. I successfully passed my PMP certification test, which was a significant achievement for me since I don’t typically perform well on standardized tests. The Lord blessed me with the ability to succeed. Since then, I have been working in project management roles and growing my experience.

 

One day, the Lord laid on my heart to "Start your own business." This was just part of my journey leading to the establishment of Workmanship, LLC. You never know where the Lord will take you!
